Mark J. Laber, 48, of Grayson, a registered sexual offender, has been arrested by Kentucky State Police for using a social networking account on the Internet.
The KSP said Laber owned and operated a Facebook account under his name.
He was charged with using a social network and lodged in the Carter County Detention Center.
Kentucky law prohibits a registered sex offender from engaging in chat rooms, text messaging and social networking.
The investigation is ongoing by KSP Detective Christopher Carter.
