May 26, 2012 — Two elementary school teacher aides were among five Olive Hill residents arrested Thursday night as part of a joint operation between the Olive Hill Police, Carter County Sherriff’s Department, and the Fivco Area Drug Enforcement Task Force (FADE).
Mitchell Layne, 47, of Olive Hill was charged with trafficking a controlled substance and wanton endangerment.
Paul Damron, 49, was charged with driving under the influence and Greg “Paul” Carroll, 50, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Olive Hill elementary employees Valerie Layne, 38, and Brenda Douglas, 46, were also among those taken into custody Thursday.
Further charges are pending as part of FADE’s ongoing investigation.
FADE operates in Lewis, Greenup and Carter counties, consisting of various city and county officers.
