March 2, 2007 — The East Carter Raiders are the 62nd District runner-up team following their loss to Elliott County Friday evening.
With six and a half minutes left in the game, the Raiders pulled within nine points, 55-46.
Elliott gained a larger lead to win the district with the final score of 72 – 54.
Both teams will advance to regional play to be held at Morehead.
