June 13, 2012 — Glen and Loretta Skaggs, of Olive Hill are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Danielle LaRae Skaggs to Jarrod Wayne Owens, son of Victor and Jennifer Owens of Olive Hill.
Danielle is a 2008 graduate of Elliott County High School and currently attending Morehead State University pursuing a Bachelorette degree in Nursing Science. She plans to then further her education as a Nurse Anesthetist. Danielle is a national and state certified Emergency Medical Technician and is currently employed at St. Claire Regional Medical Center Emergency Department and Morehead-rowan County EMS. Danielle is the oldest sister of Shelbi, Hannah and Gavin Skaggs and the granddaughter of Opal and Joe Skaggs of Olive Hill and Cledith and Helen Middleton of Olive Hill.
Jarrod is a 2005 graduate of West Carter High School. He attended Morehead state University for 3 years as mathematics major and is a 2009 graduate from Maysville Community and technical College with a degree in Mechanics. Jarrod is a national and state certified Emergency Medical Technician and is currently employed at Elliot County EMS and Morehead-Rowan County EMS. He is also a firefighter of 3 years at Olive Hill Fire-Rescue. Jarrod is the brother of Brittany Owens and the grandson of Chelmer and Bonnie Rayburn of Olive Hill and Robert Owens and the late Mildred Owens of Vanceburg.
The couple will wed on June 22, 2013 at the First Christian Church in Olive Hill.
