Volleyball prepared for national tournament

Nov. 9, 2011 —     The Lady Knights volleyball team split the season’s final two home games, losing 0-3 Friday on senior night to Cincinnati Christian University, before rebounding Saturday with a 3-1 win over Midway College.

    KCU recognized four seniors prior to Friday’s game.

    Abby Evans, Ally Hall, April Hershauer and Samantha Jarvis were honored for their play at KCU.

    Kentucky Christian University wrapped up the regular season with a regional championship and an overall mark of 29-9.  

    The Lady Knights will carry their Mideast Region Championship into the 2011 Division II National Championship Tournament.

    The tournament will be played in Kissimmee, Fla. beginning Thursday.
