We wanted to take this opportunity to thank some of God’s “angels” that we met last weekend on Saturday, August 16. Our 7-year-old son, Dalton, suffered a traumatic head injury while horseback riding off of Evermans Creek Road. We want to say and BIG thank-you to the nurse who lived nearby (we never got her name), to Kelly Hall and Terry “Killer” Sublett for trying to keep us calm and for staying with Dalton until the helicopter came. We want to thank Ruth Ann’s dad, (Buzzy Thomas) for jumping off that bridge and getting to our baby before we could. We love you Papaw! We want to thank the pilot and medical team of the helicopter for getting Dalton quickly and safely to Cabell Huntington Hospital. The PICU staff and Dr. Coulon were amazing! The care we all received at CHH was astounding! Miss Linda, Bonnie and Little Joe – you guys go above and beyond. Thanks and we love you! We want to thank our entire families (an extra big thanks to Papaw, Nana, Mammie, Donnie, and Chandra), our friends, our Globe Christian Church family, and the countless prayer warriors who have been bangin’ on Heaven’s door for Dalton. And our biggest thanks goes to God. We humbly praise Him for the miracle He has given us. His infinite love and grace still amazes us all.
