June 23, 2010 — Bless the Jewish Nation
Editor,
I am not a Jew but I would like to share some thoughts about them since it seems the whole world has formed a negative opinion against them.
We need to remember that God is the creator of heaven and earth and all people. God chose Abraham as the beginning of the Jewish race.
He said in Genesis 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee; and in thee shall all the earth be blessed.
Then in Psalms he said, Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; they shall prosper that love thee.
Amos 9:15 said, And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the Lord their God.
There is no way I am going to curse someone who God has blessed. All countries of this world should be careful because when you go against Israel you are going against God.
The Bible is full of verses that support this letter.
Thanks,
Lloyd Dean

Who is holy?
Editor,
I Chronicles 22:12 Only the Lord give thee wisdom and understanding.
At a time when God has been placed on the no-fly list here in America, we welcome his holiness Swami Uidyadhishanamda Swami, (I hope I pronounced all that right) who will teach “Wellbeing Rooted in Clarity of Perception”. All that has increased my limited vocabulary ten-fold, and also raises the question, 'Who has the right to be called his Holiness?'.
God has spoken in His Holiness (Psalm 60:6) and 44 times more in the Word mentioned in the Bible, and not one attached to the Himalayan Monk. But, don't let it keep you from attending his wellness workshops.

Caring for cemeteries
Editor,
Over the Memorial Day weekend, I visited several cemeteries. Two of them were Erwin cemeteries in Olive Hill where I believe my ancestors are buried. To whoever is caring for these cemeteries, I want to say "thank you". They truly are beautiful.
My grandmother was Almira Erwin Justice, daughter of Robert Dickinson Erwin. Robert's parents were Elizabeth Dickinson and John Leander Erwin who came to this area from Russell County, VA in the early 1800's. According to real estate transactions they settled on the Smokey Fork of Tygart. I would love to know exactly where they lived and were buried. We saw a beautiful cemetery with a lot of rocks for markers on Oscar Cemetery Road. Could this be the place? I would love to hear from anyone who knows anything about these graves. Please call me if you have any information.
