Good people in Grayson
Editor,
I wanted to write and let you know what good people you have in your town. In the past year, I’ve lost both my father and my mother, Carroll and Alene (Gannon) Hendricks, who both grew up in Grayson. They wanted to be buried there, too, in the cemetery behind what we always called KCC when I was a kid playing in the fields nearby.
But since I live in Oregon and my sister lives in Florida, knowing who to contact and what arrangements to make might have been hard. But the good folks at Malone Funeral Home - especially Mike Malone, Bob Thomas, and Carl Spaulding - were really wonderful. They told me what needed to be done, when, and who to contact to arrange things. Because of them, everything went very smoothly during some tough times for our family.
They didn’t do it for money, either, since they made very little from us. No, they did it because they’re helpful and generous people, and I just wanted to make sure they got a pat on the back for it.

McDonalds car show
Editor,
Ronald McDonald Car Show fundraiser was held July 25 at McDonalds of Grayson. On behalf of McDonalds’ staff and crew, we want to thank all business merchants who sponsored our car show. Also, thanks to all the businesses who donated door prizes.
Our 17th Annual Car Show was a big success. We want to thank “Carter County Cruisers”, “Cousin Chris”, the Wizards of Dance, our volunteers for the day of the show and our McDonalds crew.
Thanks again for a great day!

Thanks for helping
Editor,
On behalf of Tyler Clay and Seth Greenhill, we would like to thank every individual, business, and church that came together last week to help raise money for the Grahn flood victims. The hard work that each one of you put in and the time that was sacrificed was greatly appreciated by not only the two of us, but also the family that this operation was for. Without the help and cooperation of each and every one of you, this would not have been possible and for that, we thank you. As much as we would like to thank each and every one of you individually, the list would go on and on. Seeing so many friends, businesses, and different churches come together was a true blessing and the outcome was a true gift from God. We would like to thank everyone once again and we are truly thankful from the depths of our heart.
Sincerely,
Tyler Clay and Seth Greenhill
