Question Olive Hill's need for new revenue

Aug. 1, 2012 — The editor:

In the July 25, 2012 Olive Hill Times article "Olive Hill Searching for new revenue options" was disturbing because the City of Olive Hill already takes in over nine million dollars per year - much more than surrounding cities of similar size. The question that must be answered is. . . if they do create a way to generate more revenue, how long will it be before they will need more? Olive Hill utility bills are already higher than most towns in Kentucky and Olive Hill has the highest salaries of key personnel for similar jobs performed in the entire state of Kentucky if not in the nation. The headlines should have been, "Olive Hill to revaluate salaries of key personnel to save money."
