The editor:
We would like to show our appreciation to the businesses and individuals who donated to our 11th annual Shop with A Cop program this year. Each year we have taken local children shopping with the help of these generous community minded donors, making the holiday season brighter for many families and children in our community.
We owe a great deal of gratitude to Grayson Pizza Hut and Grayson K-Mart for always providing great accommodations on our shopping day. We are very grateful for the employees of the Family Resource and Youth Service Centers at Olive Hill Elementary, West Carter Middle and High Schools for the assistance they provide us each year. Last, but not least, a special thank you goes out to David Lee for helping Santa show up this year for the children.
Again, thanks to these businesses: Superior Foods, Porter Tire Sales, First National Bank, Fishers Auto Sales, Globe Funeral Chapel, Sturgill's Music Center, Napa Auto Parts, Tackett’s Furniture, American Legion Post 138, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 138, Dairy Queen, The Hair Quarters, Walker’s Grill, Smith Hardware, Arnold Hamilton Furniture, Sally’s Flowers, Tyler’s Pizza, Upper Tygart Mini Mart and Flowers By Jeannie.
We also want to recognize Linda Lowe, Bud Stamper, Jeff and Felice Jarrell, Art Barker, Mike and Charlotte Barker, Randy and Sherry Campbell, Wilson and Linda Maggard, John and Edna Kitchen and Joe Ruley as well as all the anonymous donors who donated at our collection boxes.
On behalf of the members of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #72, we appreciate your generosity and wish you all a joyous holiday season!
Bobby E. Hall, President
