It is impossible to put into a few words what Granny’s Kitchen means to me and my husband. It has been a place to serve others in these difficult economic days, a gathering place for the community, a place to have fellowship with old and new friends and it is always a friendly place to enjoy a good home style meal or have a cup of coffee and dessert.
On Friday nights the building comes alive with good gospel music, praise, laughter and the clink of silverware! This Friday night was no exception. There was a large crowd plenty of good food and wonderful gospel music, provided by the McAdams family, Ralph and Ruth Hogsten, and Brian Wallin. The singing lasted late and no one was in a hurry to get home. It was over last night at Granny’s for a while.
With God’s guidance and hard work from volunteers, I hope to see this special place open its doors, to serve others and once again become a gathering place for our community.
