The Carter County Public Library District Board of Trustees as well as the Friends of the Carter County Public Library would like to thank those in attendance at the Senate District 18 Legislative Meet and Greet. The event was held Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012 at 6 p.m. at the Grayson branch of the Carter County Public Library. Approximately 30 individuals were addressed by both Senator Robin Webb and Representative Jill York as well as Gayle Smith, candidate for Olive Hill City Council. All speakers expressed the vital role public libraries fulfill in the community. The Friends of the Carter County Public Library group was presented a reimbursement check from the Friends of Kentucky Libraries by Mary Lynn Collins. Appreciation to Linda Lowe, Olive Hill city council member, Pam Nash, Grayson city council member, and Judge Executive Charles Wallace for their presence at the gathering.
