Discourage alcohol sales at the vote

Nov. 21, 2012 — The editor:

In reference to the petition to make part of Grayson wet. Least everyone believe everyone in Grayson is totally naive, let me say that alcohol is just another drug. We have spent thousands of dollars on fighting drugs and trying to save our children from addiction to drugs. And now it is okay to legalize one in our city limits.

As for prosperity, for every dollar we realize we will spend three dealing with the side effects of this drug. Throwing your children under the bus is not progress.

I may not be cool or modern but I am smart enough to know when I am well off. So if you don't want this get up and go vote against this Jan. 15, mark your calendar.

    Most of us are acquainted with the phrase "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas." That must be the mindset of the powers that be who made the rule that only the Grayson precincts get to vote on the upcoming issue of 'wet or dry'.

    Just paid my phone bill.  It started at $184.92. Quickly to that amount another 12 suckers were attached to the bill totaling $64.25 in extra charges. Hold your laughter until the end.
