Jan. 28, 2009 — A Carter County Grand Jury handed down indictments on several individuals on Dec. 19.
The following were released to the newspaper.
¥ Aaron Jones, 23, of Ruth Street, Grayson was indicted on one count of trafficking in the Scheduled II controlled substance oxycodone, 1st degree, 1st offense, a Class C felony.
¥ Robert Garris, age unknown, of Flat Fork in Elliott County was indicted on one count of trafficking in the Scheduled II controlled substance oxycodone, 1st degree, 1st offense, a Class C felony.
¥ Henry Bertram, age unknown, of S. Hord Street, Grayson was indicted on one count of trafficking in the Scheduled II controlled substance hydrocone, 2nd degree, 1st offense, a Class D felony.
¥ Jessica Renee Cummings, 42, of Robert and Mary Ave., Grayson, was indicted on one count of possession of the Scheduled II controlled substance oxycodone, 1st degree, 1st offense, a Class D felony.
¥ Nathan Navarre, 19, of Harmony Dr., Grayson was indicted on one count of trafficking in the Scheduled II controlled substance oxycodone, 1st degree, 1st offense, a Class C felony.
¥ Ed Gibbie, 44, of U. S. Hwy. 60, East, Grayson was indicted on one count of trafficking in the Scheduled II controlled substance oxycodone, 1st degree, 1st offense, a Class C felony.
¥ Phillip J. McDavid, 32, of River Bend, Grayson was indicted on one count of trafficking in the Scheduled II controlled substance oxycodone, 1st degree, 1st offense, a Class C felony.
¥ Kathy Cummins, 46, of Robert and Mary Road, Grayson was indicted on two counts of trafficking in the Scheduled II controlled substance oxycodone, 1st degree, 1st offense, Class C felonies.
¥ Minnie Tolliver, 43, of Fairview Hill, Hitchins was indicted on two counts of trafficking in the Scheduled II controlled substance oxycodone, 1st degree, 1st offense, Class C felonies.
¥ Betty Francis Campbell, 31, of Main Street, Grayson was indicted on one count of trafficking in the Scheduled II controlled substance oxycodone, 1st degree, 1st offense, a Class C felony, and one count of trafficking in the Scheduled II controlled substance buprenorphine, 2nd degree, 1st offense, a Class D felony.
¥ Madeline Couvertier, 36, of Smith Branch, Grayson was indicted on one count of trafficking in the Scheduled II controlled substance oxycodone, 1st degree, 1st offense, a Class C felony.
An indictment does not prove guilt.
