May 27, 2009 — A Carter County grand jury handed down indictments against four individuals on Monday, May 18, for a total of 11 counts.
Raymond Bailey, 29, from Olive Hill was indicted on one count of burglary in the second degree by burglarizing the home of Elizabeth Setty, a Class C felony.
Ronald D. Setty, 51, of West US 60, Olive Hill was indicted on one count of trafficking in marijuana, possessing for sale more than eight ounces but less than five pounds, a Class D felony. He was also indicted on one count of trafficking in the Scheduled II controlled substance cocaine, first degree, first offense, a Class C felony; one count of trafficking in the Scheduled II controlled substance roxyodone, first degree, first offense, a Class C felony; one count of possession of drug paraphernalia by having baggies, pipes and electronic scales, a Class A misd.; and one count of possessing a controlled substance not in the proper container, a Class B misd.
Charles Sexton, 48, of Grayson was indicted on one count of assault in the second degree by assaulting Elizabeth Sexton and causing her physical injury by means of a knife (a deadly weapon), a Class C felony; one count of persistent felony in the second degree, a Class B felony; and one count of violating an enforced domestic violence order by assaulting and causing physical injury to the petitioner Elizabeth Sexton, plaintiff, a Class A misd.
Jeremy Barnett, 24, of Grayson was indicted on one count of escape in the second degree by being convicted of a felony and being on work release from the Carter County Detention Center did escape from custody, a Class D felony, and one count of persistent felony offender in the second degree by being convicted of a felony after having one prior felony conviction, a Class C felony.
An indictment does not prove guilt.
