July 1, 2009 — As flames engulfed the home of Stacy and Ryan Ison on Peaceful River Drive (road behind Raider Mart in Grayson) late Thursday afternoon, firefighters from throughout the county fought to bring the blaze under control. Except for the family dog, Bailey, the occupants were not at home. Dispatched to the scene were Grayson, Hitchins, Norton-Branch, and Olive Hill Fire Departments along with Carter Co. EMS and the Sheriff's Department. The fire is under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
