Grayson police have been busy in the last week, arresting six individuals for a variety of drug-related crimes.
On Wednesday, GPD arrested James Savage, 41, of Grayson and charged him with manufacturing methamphetamine.
After an investigation lasting several weeks, Grayson officers served a warrant on Savage's home on Paradise Hill.
In the home, GPD found an active meth lab, residue from three recently “cooked” labs and 28 generators.
“Mr. Savage was cooking when we came through the door,” Det. Sgt. Travis Steele told the Journal-Times. “The generators, or bottles with the tubes coming out of the top that are used to produce the drug, were found all over the property.”
Three people with connections to Detroit were arrested on Saturday in connection with engaging in organized crime.
Heather Krause-Brown, 26, of Grayson, was arrested on three unspecified bench warrants, first degree trafficking in a controlled substance (heroin) and engaging in organized crime.
Jacob Seagraves, 22, of Grayson, was arrested on one unspecified bench warrant, first degree trafficking in a controlled substance (heroin) and engaging in organized crime.
James Canty IV, 27, of Detroit, Mich. He was also apprehended with Krause-Brown and Seagraves. Canty was charged with first degree trafficking in a controlled substance (heroin) and engaging in organized crime.
Chassity Griffity, 27, and Anthony Little, 34, both of Grayson, were arrested Monday afternoon and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.
