April 28, 2012 — Morehead State University officials confirmed Saturday night that Men's Head Basketball Coach Donnie Tyndall has resigned to become the coach at the University of Southern Mississippi.
MSU President Wayne D. Andrews and Athletics Director Brian Hutchinson praised Tyndall for his six years with the Eagles, including two NCAA tournament berths in the last four seasons.
He compiled a record of 114-84.
Hutchinson said a national search for Tyndall's successor would begin immediately.
