April 25, 2012 — Francisco Camacho Jr. was arraigned in Carter District Court Monday morning on one count of fourth degree assault and one count of third degree terroristic threatening, both class A misdemeanors.
According to the warrant of arrest, Camacho and Brandon Nunley repeatedly punched Bobby Burton on April 18. Camacho also allegedly threatened to kill Burton with a newly purchased firearm.
Camacho was arrested on Saturday, then released on a $10,000 cash bond. During the hearing, Sebastian Joy, Camacho's attorney, requested a bond reduction.
“A $10,000 cash bond is the highest bond I have ever seen for a misdemeanor,” Joy said.
The Commonwealth opposed any bond modification and Judge Rupert Wilhoit agreed that Camacho was a danger to the community considering the alleged threats.
