March 10, 2010 — After hearing that the Pot of Gold Antique Show would not be held in March by the Grayson Tourism Commission, the Carter County Antique Association flew into action to continue the show.
The Grayson Tourism Commission has sponsored a very successful event for the past 12 years. This show brings between 1,200 and 1,800 visitors to Grayson. Visitors to the show frequent our local motels, restaurants, gas stations and local businesses, according to a spokesperson for CCAA, adding “In this economy, an antique show of this quality is a rare event.
“The Carter County Antique Association hopes to continue the great job that the Tourism Commission has done in the past,” says Dustin Howard, owner and operator of ‘Antiques-N-Uniques’. “News about the show has been met with great enthusiasm by antique dealers who have done the show in the past as well as many customers who have attended past shows.”
Antiques give an insight into the history of our county and can be an investment in our future. The Carter County Antique Association invites everyone to visit the Antique Show and Sale. Admission will be $2.
The Pot of Gold Antique SHow and Sale is scheduled for Saturday, March 27, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday, March 28, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
