April 26, 2012 — The Kentucky Department of Highways has granted a permit to Windstream Kentucky East Inc. for utility line crossings on Interstate 64 near mile markers 167 and 168 in Carter County this Sunday, April 29.
The company has indicated it will use a rolling road block between 6:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. Sunday so utility crews can work over the roadway. Motorists approaching mile markers 167 and 168 near this time should watch for stopped or slowing traffic, and should expect delays.
Road work is subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, “Drive Smart” in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
