May 9, 2012 — A Grayson couple has been charged with first degree criminal abuse after their child was found naked in the street.
James Craig, 41, and Christina Craig, 27, of 4th Street, were arrested April 26.
According to the Grayson Police Department, a 2-year-old child was picked up after being found in the street by a passing motorist.
The child’s parents were found just after 11 a.m. and claimed they had been searching for the child for approximately 20 minutes.
Both parents were taken to the Carter County Detention Center and released on $5,000 unsecured bond. They will appear in Carter District Court for arraignment on Monday, May 14.
The child was turned over to family members.
