Aug. 19, 2009 — Carter County EMS, led by Paramedic John Halley, worked relentlessly Wednesday evening to save the life of 52-year-old Harold Mills of Catlettsburg. Driving a 2001 Jeep Laredo Grand Cherokee, Mills lost control of his vehicle going down Cribbs Hill towards Grayson. Air Methods flew out Mills to Cabell Huntington Hospital. Responding to the incident were Grayson, Norton-Branch, and Hitchins Fire Departments. The accident is still under investigation by J. McCormick, Carter County Deputy Sheriff. Both lanes of the highway were closed for an approximate hour. Rick's Towing removed the vehicle from the roadway.
