OHPD seeks public assistance

Jan. 9, 2013 — The Olive Hill Police Department is asking for help from the citizens of Carter County in locating a wanted man.

OHPD is currently seeking Dylan Douglas, 20, of Residents Lane in Olive Hill.

Douglas is wanted in connection with the robbery of Donnie Lykins Insurance Agency in downtown Olive Hill in early December.

“We are sure he hasn’t gone very far,” Police Chief Bobby Hall told the Journal-Times. “We just need someone to help us pinpoint his location so we can pick him up.”

Douglas is seen in a surveillance photo cashing a stolen check from the business at a local gas station.

The video was taken just one day after the robbery, and Hall is certain that Douglas will have more information about the incident.

Jerrod Knipp, 30, of Soldier, was arrested Dec. 3 in connection with the robbery. He is facing several charges, including second degree burglary and fleeing or evading police and is currently housed in the Carter County Detention Center.

Authorities ask that anyone with information about Douglas to call the OHPD at 286-2551.
