County and city recognized

Take steps to prevent opening of pain clinics


Oct. 21, 2009 — Sheriff Kevin ÒMoochÓ McDavid, Magistrate Judy Roark, County Judge Executive Charles Wallace, County Court Clerk Mike Johnston, Magistrate Bill Webb and Magistrate Lovell Carper are pictured with the plaque the county received from the Tri-County Kentucky Agency for Substance Abuse Policy during the Prescription Medication Diversion and Abuse Summitt held Oct. 15 in Ashland.

Mayor George Steele and the City of Grayson was also recognized for their legislation to prevent the establishment of pain clinics in the city. Carter County and Grayson was announced as the first county and city in Kentucky to establish such policies.
