Christopher Wayne Conn
1978-2009
MT. STERLING - Christopher Wayne Conn, age 30, of Mt. Sterling, passed away, Tuesday morning, June 9, in the Saint Joseph Mount Sterling Hospital in Mount Sterling, from injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident.
Mr. Conn was born October 20, 1978, in Rowan County, a son of Gary and Peggy Easterling Conn of Olive Hill.
Christopher was a boilermaker with Local #5555 and a 1997 graduate of West Carter High School. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother; Maesceen Easterling.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Jordan Taylor Conn; one daughter, Chloe Conn of Mt. Sterling; three brothers, Gary Dale Conn of Mt. Sterling, Dayveon Conn and Josiah Conn both of Olive Hill; one sister and brother-in-law; Ammie and Corey Frasier of Olive Hill; paternal grandparents; Ed and Marcella Conn of Olive Hill; maternal grandfather; James Easterling of Olive Hill; one nephew; Landon Gage Conn; two nieces, Kylie Anne Conn and Mia Waine Frasier. He also leaves a host of other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 14, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Brother Paul Zornes and Brother Bobby Day officiating. Burial followed in the Olive Hill Memorial Park in Olive Hill.
Jason Stephens, David Michael Conn, Corey Frasier, Mike Robinson, Scott Menix, Steve Stamper, Nick Rayburn and Gary Conn served as pallbearers.

Carl Junior Boggs
1953-2009
OLIVE HILL - Carl Junior Boggs, age 56, of Olive Hill, passed away Monday morning, June 15, at the Saint Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.
Mr. Boggs was born March 28, 1953, in Carter County, a son of Thurman Boggs Jr. of Olive Hill, and the late Maxine Bryant Boggs.
Carl was a self employed mechanic.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one brother, Johnny Wayne Boggs.
His survivors include his father, two sons, Carl Joseph Boggs of Olive Hill, and Allen Haywood of Grayson; one daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Tim Bush of Grayson; five grandchildren; four sisters, Carolyn Lawson, Cathy Hanshaw, Connie Boggs all of Olive Hill, and Charlene Ratcliff of Grayson. He also leaves behind several other family members and friends who will mourn his passing.
Grave side services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 18, at the Boggs Cemetery on Boggs Road in Olive Hill, with Brother David Bryant officiating.
Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Thursday, at the Oney-Henderson Funeral Home in Olive Hill.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Larry David Sexton
1961-2009
WILLARD – Larry David Sexton, 47, of Willard, died Saturday, June 6, in Hospice Community Care Center in Ashland.
He was born June 16, 1961 in Ashland, the son of Lola (Gallion) Sexton and the late Leonard Sexton.
He was a Carpenter and of the Christian faith.
His survivors include his wife of 8 years, Monica Sexton; two sons, Bobby Joe Sexton and Leonard Bo Sexton, both of Morehead; one step-son, Michael Wilson of Carrollton; one sister, Joyce Boggs of Willard; three brothers, Jerry Sexton of Romulus, Michigan, Rick Sexton of Willard, and Phillip Sexton of Hitchins; two grandchildren, Jasmin and Tasha Sexton; four step-grandchildren, Peyton, Kyle, Krista, and Kendra.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, at the Malone Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Sexton Family Cemetery.

James Edward “Booze” Mullins
1932-2009
GRAYSON - James Edward “Booze” Mullins, 77, of Grayson died June 2, at his residence.
He was born April 24, 1932 in Greenup County, a son of the late Tandy Arthur Mullins and Grace Belle Curry Mullins.
He was a retired glass worker with Owens-Illinois in Columbus, OH and a member of the Pactolus United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ann Sergent Mullins; one brother Kenneth Mullins; and one sister Mary Parsons.
He is survived by his wife Opal Mullins; three daughters, Mary Frances (Richard) Ackley of Columbus, OH, Cynthia Louise (Tom) Hicks of Lexington, NC. Jamie Irene (Lee) Fox of Columbus, OH; one step-daughter, Mary (Randy) Seagraves of Grayson; three step-sons, Ben Caskey of Grayson, Gary (Penny) Caskey of Greenup County, Homer (Lisa) Caskey of Grayson; four sisters, Helen Johnson of Grayson, Opal Brammell of Grayson, Gretchen Colley of Grayson, and Martha (Ed) Price of Marion, OH; 2 grandsons; 3 granddaughters; 4 great grandchildren; 6 step grandsons; 4 step granddaughters.
Services were conducted 11 a.m. Monday, June 8, at the Sparks Funeral Home by Tommy Riffe. Burial followed in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Grayson.

Richard Kiser

CARTER CO. - Richard Kiser, 85, of Carter County, died Saturday in Hospice Care Center in Ashland following a long illness.
He was born April 18, 1924 in Grahn, a son of the late Herb and Lula Crank Kiser.
He was a farmer.
He was preceded by a daughter Patricia Diane Kiser; three sisters Alene Fraley, Olive James and Gladys Gilliam.
He is survived by two daughters; Sharon and husband John D. Wilburn and Shelia and husband David Hill both of Ashland; one son Phillip Gary and wife Digna Kiser of Jamestown, OH; one brother in law Tom James of Olive Hill; one brother Harlan and wife Garnett Kiser of Mansfield, OH; seven grandchildren Jill Kiser Roeth and Phillip Dale Kiser both of Dayton, OH, Jeffery Kiser of Springboro, OH, Dawn Potter of Dayton, OH, Brandon Hill of Ashland, Johna Vertrees of Elizabethtown, and Greg Wilburn of Louisville.
Graveside services were conducted Tuesday 4 p.m. at the Kiser Family Cemetery on Kiser Branch in Grahn, by the minister Tom James.
The family ask that memorial contributions be made to Community Hospice, 1538 Central Ave., Ashland, KY 41101.

CLEVELAND, OH - Eddie Wayne Wilburn, age 37, of Cleveland, Ohio, formerly of Greenup County, passed away Tuesday, June 2.
Mr. Wilburn was born November 8, 1971, at Ironton, Ohio.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 8, at 3 pm at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson. Burial followed at the Albert Wilburn Family Cemetery in Greenup County.

SPEEDWELL, TN - Joseph Claude Maness, 69, of Speedwell, TN passed away Wednesday, June 10, at the UT Medical Center.
He was born April 7, 1940 at Martin.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, June 13, at 1 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson. Burial followed in the East Carter County Memory Gardens.

SUN CITY, AZ - Juanita B. Agee, 89, of Sun City, AZ, peacefully went into the arms of Jesus with family near her side on June 4.
She was born March 12, 1920 in Carter County.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 11 at Sunland Mortuary, Sun City, AZ. Interment followed at Sunland Memorial Park, Garden of Valor.
