Opal Roberts Butler
1920-2009
SAINT CLOUD, FL - Opal Roberts Butler, age 88, of Saint Cloud, Florida, was called home to be with the Lord, Monday morning, July 6, at the residence of her daughter, with her loving family at her bedside.
Mrs. Butler was born October 16, 1920, in Carter County, a daughter of the late Allen and Annie Fultz Roberts.
Opal was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a homemaker, a Christian and a member of the Ocean Street Church of God in Kissimme, Florida.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-three years, William Lovel Butler; a son-in-law, Gary Fritter; four brothers, Fred Roberts, Charlie Roberts, Eddie Arthur Roberts and Paul Roberts; three sisters, Beulah France, Eva Lou Roberts and Goldie Roberts.
She is survived by a son, Robert "Bobby" Butler and wife Chloe Jean of Saint Cloud, Florida; one daughter, Anna Sue Fritter also of Saint Cloud, Florida; three grandchildren, Les A. Butler and wife Beverly of Smyrna, Tennessee, Marsha Joy Butler`Hynek and husband Eugene of Saint Cloud, Florida, Gail Suzanne Small and husband Mike of Sarasota, Florida; four great-grandchildren, Matthew Allen Butler, Amber Dawn Butler, Tyler Burgett and William Butler. She also leaves behind several other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, July 12, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Brother Phil Brown and Brother Don Painter officiating. Burial will follow in the Bowen Chapel Cemetery in Olive Hill.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Saturday and until the service hour Sunday, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Eva Lou Evans Back
1942-2009
OLIVE HILL – Eva Lou Evans Back, age 66, of US 60 West, Olive Hill, passed away Friday, July 3, at her residence.
She was born October 10, 1942, in Rowan County, and was the daughter of the late Emerson and Ruby Opal Blevins Evans. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, James David Evans.
Lou is survived by her husband of 49 years, George Back, Jr., whom she married March 21, 1960; one son, Brent (Lisa) Back of Olive Hill; two daughters, Dana (George) Back-Pack of Lexington, and Jowana (Randy) Fritz of Flemingsburg; and five grandchildren, Jacob Fritz, Seth Fritz, Braden Back, Cade Back, and Piper Back.
Also surviving are two sisters, Wilma Jessie of Olive Hill, and Glenna (Tom) Jenkins of Beloit, Ohio.
Lou was the owner of Outback Flowers.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Lewis Davis officiating. Burial followed in the Garvin Ridge Cemetery in Carter County.
Pallbearers were Jacob Fritz, Seth Fritz, Braden Back, Randy Fritz, George Pack, and Tim Jessie.

Irene Porter Mabry
1917-2009
OLIVE HILL – Irene Porter Mabry, age 92, of Grayson, Kentucky, passed away Sunday morning July 5, 2009 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Kentucky.
Mrs. Mabry was born January 22, 1917 in Carter County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late W. A. and Vesta Foster Porter..
She was a homemaker and a member of the Load Christian Church in Greenup County.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Atlee Mabry; one son, Billy Ray Mabry; two brothers, Tracy Porter and Roy Porter; four sisters, Mae Porter, Ethel Porter, Treda Mundy and Connie Lane.
Irene is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Leewood and Sue Mabry of Marion, Indiana and Tim Mabry of Grayson, Kentucky; one brother, Dayton Porter of Olive Hill, Kentucky; one granddaughter; Dianne Click of Ashland, Kentucky; three grandsons; Donnie Mabry of Greenup, Kentucky, Shannon Mabry of Gas City, Indiana, and Jeff Caudill of Marion, Indiana. Four great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews and other family members and friends who will sadly mourn her passing.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at the W.A. Porter Cemetery on State Highway 955 with Gayle Price officiating.

BUCYRUS, OH - Fern Click Honaker, age 76, of Bucyrus, Ohio, formally of Lewis County, passed away, Saturday morning, July 4, in the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
Mrs. Honaker was born March 6, 1933, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late William H and Inez Opal Erwin Click.
She was retired from Check Mate Boats, and was of the Christian Faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers; Bill Click; Wayne Click and Arnold Click.
Fern is survived by one son, Donald Eugene Honaker of Bucyrus, Ohio; one daughter, Janice Myrl Carmichael of Bucyrus, Ohio; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charles Click; Gregory Click; Sidney Click all of Vanceburg; seven sisters, Louella Click Ash of Caledonia, Ohio, Rosa Dyer, Donna Click, Tamara Nolen, Sue Click and Criss Bloomfield all of Vanceburg, Kathy Stamper of Olive Hill; her companion, Jerry Hess of Bucyrus, Ohio. She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews and other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Camp Dix, with George Butler and Hansel Butler officiating. Burial followed in the Morgan Cemetery in Emerson.
Family and friends served as pallbearers.

ST. Cloud, FL - Cicero Gilbert, age 81, of St. Cloud, Florida passed away, Thursday morning, June 2, at the St. Cloud Regional Medical Center in St. Cloud Florida.
Mr. Gilbert was born August 6, 1927, in London, a son of the late Barden and Bessie Bush Gilbert.
Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond, Indiana.
There will be no visitation or funeral.

Faye C. Sparks

GRAYSON - Faye C. Sparks, 63, of Grayson, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday June 30, at the Pleasant Hill Nursing Home in Piketon, OH.
She was born September 20, 1945 at Olive Hill, a daughter of the late Homer and Dolly McDowell Bishop.
She was a homemaker and attended the Grace Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harold (Boodle) Bishop.
Her survivors include three sons, Bobby (and Pam) Sparks, Ivan Sparks Jr. and Michael Sparks all of Grayson; one daughter, Tammy (and Matt) Blevins of Grayson; five sisters, Carolyn Sue (and Lenis) Middleton, Phyllis Howard, Loretta Newman, Paula Jean Bishop and Wendy Stone all of Olive Hill; three brothers, Jerry Bishop, Homer Bob Bishop and John Bishop all of Olive Hill; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, July 4, at 1 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with George Boggs, minister.
Burial followed in the Garvin Ridge Cemetery.

Fred Shannon Marcum
1931-2009
GRAYSON - Fred Shannon Marcum, 77, of Grayson, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, July 2, at his residence.
He was born September 25, 1931 in Princeton, WV a son of the late Estill and Hazel Watts Marcum.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Marcum in May 2008 and a sister, Daisy Gifford.
He was retired from General Refractories of Hitchins Firebrick and was a U.S. Marine Korean Veteran. He was of the Christian faith. His survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Joyce Marcum and Fred “Butch” Jr. and Vickie Marcum all of Grayson; four brothers, Bill, Lester, Chester and Curt Marcum all of Grayson; two sisters, Shirley Grabovitch and Mary Hay both of Grayson; three grandchildren, Justin Marcum, Summer Marcum and Heather (and John) Wages and one great-grandchild, Tyler Wages.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, July 5, at 2 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Terry Dean and Delmar Rogers, officiating. Burial followed in the East Carter County Memory Gardens.

ASHLAND - Matthew Allen Loudenback, 33, of Ashland, died Thursday morning, at his residence following a brief illness.
Matthew was born February 4, 1976 at Ironton, Ohio.
Funeral services were Tuesday, at 1 p.m. at Preston Family Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Newell Cemetery at Grahn.
