Lillie Maxine Kash

OHIO – Lillie Maxine Kash, 82, of Mansfield, died Feb. 22, at her home. Born June 2, 1927 in South Portsmouth, Ky, she was the daughter of Jess and Maude (Biggs) Jarvis. She moved to Mansfield in 1952 and retired in 1990 from Swan Cleaners. Maxine enjoyed sculpting, drawing and embroidery.
She is survived by three sons, Ronald (Anne) Kash of Mansfield, Jamison (JoAnne) Kash of Ashland and Wayne (Alecia) Kash of Mansfield; a daughter, Cheryl Kash of Mansfield, sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; six brothers and sisters, Bill Jarvis of Mansfield, Burt Jarvis of Rio Hondo, Texas, Glen Jarvis of Mansfield, Leola Carroll of Ontario, Doris Blevins of Terra Haute, Ind. and Ruth Henderson of Glendale, Ariz. as well as many dear friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alba Kash in 1999, son, Gary in 1985, granddaughters, Jennifer Kash and Michelle Kinstle, great-granddaughter, Paige Elizabeth Kash, brothers, Kenneth, Harold, Raymond Jarvis, and sister, Evelyn Tabor. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield.
Funeral services were held at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield, on Feb 26, with Pastor Phil Green of Real Life Community Church officiating.

EDGEWOOD, KY – Brandon Lloyd Warden, 17, of Edgewood, Ky, formerly of Ashland, died suddenly at his home Feb. 23.
Funeral Services were Feb. 26, at Preston Family Funeral Home. Burial Followed in the Bellefonte Memorial Gardens, in Flatwoods, Ky.
Bobby Lewis Roar
1941 – 2010
OLIVE HILL – Bobby Lewis Roar, 68, of Olive Hill, passed away, Feb. 23, at the King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.
Mr. Roar was born, Sept. 15, 1941, in Carter County, Ky, a son of the late Melvin and Othel Madeline Gilliam Roar.
Bobby was retired from the State Highway Department. He was a Christian and member of the Unity Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Nellie Caudill and Betty Hall; also several infant siblings.
Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Patricia Baker Roar, one son and daughter-in-law, Robert Douglas and Tawnya Roar of Olive Hill, Ky, two daughters and a son-in-law, Pricilla Lynn and Anthony Hicks, Connie Sue Erwin all of Olive Hill, Ky, nineteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; four brothers, Danny and Brenda Roar of Dayton, Ohio, Sammy Roar of Louisa, Ky, David and Rosemary Roar, Tommy Jo and Kathy Roar both of Grahn, Ky, sister, Dorothy Humphries of Olive Hill, Ky, three very special best friends, George Barker, Raymond Barker and Jim Stevens. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends who will sadly mourn his passing.
Funeral services were held Feb. 26, at the Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Ky, with Brother Dewayne Johnson, Brother Jason Johnson and Brother Johnny Seagraves officiating.
Burial followed in the Baker Cemetery on State Highway 1025 in Olive Hill, Ky.

Keith Lee Boggs

OLIVE HILL – Keith Lee Boggs, 42, of Olive Hill, Ky, passed away Feb. 23, at his residence.
Mr. Boggs was born, Feb. 6, 1968, in Rowan County, Ky, a son of Gracie Middleton Boggs of Olive Hill, Ky, and the late Calvin Boggs.
Keith was an employee of the Family Dollar Distribution Center in Morehead, Ky, where he worked as a fork lift operator. He was of the Church of God Faith.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one sister; Marsha Fitzgerald.
Other survivors include, one son, Cody Boggs of Paris, Ky, one daughter, Emily Boggs of Paris, Ky, one grandson, Hunter Boggs of Olive Hill, Ky, four brothers, David Boggs and Steven Boggs both of Lexington, Ky, Doug Boggs and twin brother Kevin Boggs both of Olive Hill, Ky, three sisters, Susan Lemaster and Mary Boggs both of Olive Hill, Ky, Gracie Kidd of Morehead, Ky, He also leaves several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends who will sadly mourn his passing.
Memorial services were held Feb. 27, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Ky, with Brother Gayle Price officiating.
Burial will follow at a later date.
Jane Hall Bowe
1950 – 2010
GRAYSON – Jane Hall Bowe 59 of Grayson, died Feb.20, at her home. She was born Oct. 20,1950 in Ashland, Ky, a daughter of Bert M. Childers Sr. and Maude Lynn Ralphman Childers.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Gregory Hall, her second husband, Ed Bowe and her fiancé, Jerry Fields. She is survived by one Daughter, Melissa Hall of Rush, Ky, one Son, Robert Hall of Grayson, one Sister, Delberta Litteral of Ashland, one Brother, Bert M. Childers Jr. of Flatwoods, Ky, and four Grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Feb. 23, at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson.
Burial was in the Golden Oaks Cemetery in Ashland.
Grace L. Fleming
Hladum
WILLARD – Grace L. Fleming Hladum went home to be with the Lord on Feb, 21, at Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. She was born at Willard, Ky, a daughter of the late Charles and Barbara Wilcox Fleming.
She was a homemaker, wife and loving Aunt to all her nieces and nephews, making each one feel special. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George Hladum, three brothers, Earl Fleming, Wade Fleming and Roy Fleming; two sisters Flores Hanks and Blanche Williams, three nephews Alva Williams Jr., Clyde Hanks and Jack Hanks.
She is survived by four nieces Mary Lou Greer and Shirley Seagraves both of Grayson, Frances Fleming Pino of Youngstown, Ohio, and Linda Potratz of Hartwell, Ga. nine nephews Howard Hanks of Ashland, Ky, Charlie Williams of Clayton, N.C. Tommy Hanks of Columbus, Ohio, Ronald Fleming of Cleveland, OH, Roy Fleming Jr., of Evanston IL, Robert Fleming of Mission Vie jo, CA, Bill Fleming of Twinsburg, OH, Ralph Jr.and Earl Fleming of Cleveland, Ohio, and a good friend Vida Hattentroth of Columbus, Ohio.
Aunt Grace had one life long friend Clara Kozee of St. Albans, WV, formally of Willard, Ky.
They grew up as neighbors and have kept in touch all through life.
Her family will be having a memorial service with burial at a later date.
Buell Heaberlin
1925 – 2010
HITCHINS – Buell Heaberlin, 84, of Hitchens, Ky died Feb. 26, at MedCentral Hospital, Mansfield,Ohio.
Born June 7, 1925 at Olive Hill, He was the son of the late Lake and Mable (McDavid) Heaberlin Adams.
Buell had very strong religious convictions, was a devoted husband and father, and was loved dearly by all his immediate and extended family. Sixty six years ago he married Lorene Hawn of Danville, Ky. In 1944 he was inducted into the Army and was serving in Europe when the war ended. When discharged, he moved to Mansfield, Ohio where he was employed at Westinghouse until retirement.
He moved to Hitchins, Ky near Grayson Lake where he spent his leisure time fishing, boating, and picnicking with family and friends.
Buell is survived by his wife Lorene of Hitchins , Ky, daughter Linda , son Gary , granddaughter Tarah (Jesse) Bishop, greatgrandson Caden all of Mansfield,Ohio ;
A sister Virginia Vail of Pueblo, Colorado; sisters-in-law Pauline Liersemann and Isabell Heaberlin of Mansfield, Ohio; Lucille Heaberlin of Grayson, Ky and Willie Cauldwell of Danville, Ky and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant son Donald, sister Hazel (Russell) Wallace, brothers Howard and Bill Heaberlin.
Special thanks to Buell’s cousins in Mansfield, Ohio, Ken and Diane Heaberlin for their loving care and support.
Also for the excellent care provided by Dr. Pradyumna Padival and the nursing staff, at MedCentral Hospital.
Funeral services were held at the Malone funeral home March. 2, with Rev. Walter Wilcox officiating.

Roy Lee Lytle
1957 – 2010
MOREHEAD – Roy Lee Lytle, 52, of Cincinnati Branch, Morehead, Ky, passed away Feb. 26, at his home surrounded by his loving and devoted family.
Roy Lee was born Dec. 17, 1957, in Sault St. Marie, Michigan, son of Anna Lee Switzer Lytle and Calvin Ray Lytle of Morehead, Ky. Besides his parents, he is survived by one brother, Tommy Lytle, and one sister, Janie Davenport, also of Morehead, other family members, and many friends.
Roy Lee was special from birth and touched countless lives in so many ways with his loving and carefree personality. He attended University Breckinridge School through the 11th grade and worked at Ray’s Saveway and Ray’s Service Mart.
Funeral services were conducted March 1, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. David Starcher officiating. Entombment followed at Forest Lawn Mausoleum.
Pallbearers were Ray Keeton, Neal Davenport, Eddie Johnson, Ray Deem, Josh Back, Josh Stevens, and Chester Honaker.
Jettie Jo Marshall
1933 – 2010
WILLARD – Jettie Jo Marshall, 77, of Willard, Ky, went to be with her Lord Feb. 25, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky.
She was born Jan. 27, 1933 in Carter County, Ky, a daughter of the late Walter Lowell and Nadine Reeves Thomas.
She was an LPN and was formerly employed at Elwood Village and was a member of the Willard Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son and a brother, Danny Thomas. Her survivors include: Her husband, L.Q. Marshall of Willard, one son, Thomas (and Cheryl) Gollihue of Willard, one daughter, Bernadine (and Bruce) Roar of Greenup, one sister, Bonnie Gail (and John) Buckner of Willard, one brother, Jack (and Helen) Thomas of Willard, four grandchildren, Brandy Ross, Michael Roar, Michael Gollihue and Roni Gollihue; Five great-grandchildren, Caly Gollihue, Chloe Gollihue, Avery Gollihue, Brady Ross and Willa Roar.
Funeral services were conducted Feb. 28, at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Walter Lee Wilcox and David Boggs, ministers.
Burial was in the East Carter County Memory Gardens.

OLIVE HILL – Ricky Bond, 54, of Olive Hill, passed away, Feb. 28, at his residence.
Mr. Bond was born, Jan. 30, 1956, in Carter, Ky, a son of the late Lucille Bond Stanley.
Ricky was an employee of Globe Hardwood as a Laborer for twenty one years. He was of the Christian Faith.
Survivors include his wife of twenty-one years, Nancy Porter Bond, one daughter, Melissa Sue Dehart of Morehead, Ky, one brother, Gary Eugene Bond of Olive Hill, mother-in-law; Gracie Porter of Grayson, one sister-in-law and husband, Debbie and Ed Jones of Grayson, Ky, two aunts, Ruthie Sayre of New Castle, Indiana; Donna Bond of Townsville, Pennsylvania; Stepfather; Raymond Stanley of Olive Hill, Ky, special cousin and care giver; Dalton Watt Bond of Townsville, Pennsylvania. He also leaves other family members and friends who will sadly mourn his passing.
Funeral services were held March 2, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Ky, with Arlen Hilderbrand officiating.
Burial followed in the Hale Cemetery in Olive Hill, Ky.
Dalton Watt Bond, Gary Eugene Bond, Ronnie Bond, Jeff Brown, Freddie Conn and Lee Scaggs served as pallbearers.

Cordie Lillian Arnold Trent Snipes

MOREHEAD – Cordie Lillian Arnold Trent Snipes, 84, of Sweeterville Lane, Morehead, passed away Feb. 26, at the Life Care Center in Morehead.
She was born Oct. 7, 1925, in Rowan County, daughter of the late Russell and Mila McClain Arnold. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert, Gilbert, Clella and Clinton Arnold, and six sisters, Olive Arnold Pilarski, Ruby Arnold Lambert, and Bulah , Bertha, Rosie and Athie Arnold.
Her first husband, Cebert Trent passed away April 8, 1988; and her second husband, Hobert J. Snipes, on July 2, 2009.
She is survived by one daughter, Kathy Trent Riddle and husband Terry of Morehead, two sons, Robert Trent and wife Cindy of Morehead, and Linden Trent and wife Pam of Hillsboro, Ky, two grandchildren, Amy Riddle of Morehead, and David Trent and wife Jacquelyn of Morehead, as well as several nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
She also leaves behind many special friends and caregivers at the Life Care Center.
She was a homemaker and former employee of Ball Brothers and Ford Motor Company, waitress and cook. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of New Home Christian Church and enjoyed visiting many churches throughout the area. She always looked forward to church services at the Life Care Center and the prayer and fellowship from the many visiting churches in the community.
Funeral services were conducted Feb.28, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Brad Bennington and Brother Ralph Taylor officiating.
Burial followed in the McClain-Arnold Cemetery.
