Heritage Stars of the Week

Braiden Mara has been chosen as Star of the Week at Heritage Elementary School. Braiden is a fifth grade student in Ms. Adkins class.

Braiden was chosen as Star of the Week because he is an extremely kind person.

He portrays a model student by handing in his assignments and listening in class.

He is well mannered and treats his classmates and teachers with respect.

Braiden has many friends because of his willingness to help others. Overall he is a truly exceptional student.

The faculty and staff are very proud to have Mr. Braiden Mara as a Heritage Elementary Patriot. Way to go Braiden.



Star of the Week at Heritage Elementary School is Mr. Dylan Fraley.

Dylan is a first grade student in Mrs. Glancy’s Class.

Dylan is an excellent student. Dylan always completes assignments neatly and puts 100 percent effort into everything he attempts to do.

Dylan is a very caring person and has a great sense of humor. Dylan is always kind and helpful to everyone.

Mrs. Glancy says Dylan is a pleasure to have in the classroom.

The faculty and staff at Heritage Elementary School are very proud of Dylan and want to congratulate him for all of his hard work.



Heritage news of week

Our Mission: Keeping our children safe while preparing them for a successful tomorrow.

On Friday, April 16, we will have the fifth grade field trip to COSI and the fourth grade will be going to Fort Boonesborough.

The Gifted and Talented field trip will be Friday, April 30 Library News:

Due to the testing window being changed, the Camden Park school days trip for accelerated reading will now be Wednesday, May 26.

Students need at least a total of 70 points with 35 points from Dec. 2 - April 16.

News from the Nurse:

The Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital Mobile Health Center will be located at Heritage Elementary Monday, April 19 (9 a.m. - 2 p.m.)

Please call OLBH Women's Center at (606) 836-PINK to schedule an appointment. Everyone gets a free gift with a mammogram.

Bridges FRC News:

The annual "Celebrate the Child" rally will be Tuesday, April 13 at the First Church of Christ in Grayson at 10 a.m.Girls Club will meet Thursday, April 15 after school until 5 pm.

Our 4-H Club will meet after school on Thursday, April 22 until 5 p.m.

Our 4-H Club will meet after school on Tuesday, April 27 until 5 p.m. to work on officer competition.

4-H officer competition will be Wednesday, April 28 at West Carter Middle School.

"Baby and You" childbirth education classes will be Friday, May 7 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the First Church Christ in Grayson.

Classes are FREE and open to expectant moms and partners.



Star School honor roll

Students making the Star Elementary fifth grade honor roll for the third nine weeks are: Alyssa Adkins, Bailee Brainard, Kailyn Combs, Bradley Davis, Travis Felty, Dylan Gallion, Christy Haney, Marcus Harris, Emily Hicks, Josie Isaacs, Gabbie Leitch, Aaron Lucas, Emily Maynard, Emily McKenzie, Randa Parker, Madison Ramsey, Noah Riggs, and Brandi Wilburn.

In other Star Elementary news, our attendance winner for last week was Mr. Walker's fifth grade class with 97.52 percent. Great job guys!

Our school will be having the Our Lady of Bellefonte Mobile Mammogram, Monday April 26.

For more information call the school and talk with the health nurse between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m.



Carter Elementary academics

Carter Elementary Future Solving Problem Team placed first in the District Governor’s Cup and second at the Regional Governor’s Cup.

Allie Skaggs placed second in Math and fourth in Science at Regional Governor’s Cup.

Regan Sloas placed fourth in English Composition at Regional Governor’s Cup. Out of 14 schools, Carter Elementary placed third overall at Regional Governor’s Cup.



East Middle cheerleading tryouts set

Any fifth, sixth, or seventh grade girls attending East Carter Middle School may try out for ECMS Cheerleader. Tryouts will be May 3 and May 4.

Each girl wishing to try out must have an up-to-date sports physical and insurance.

In other ECMS news, KCCT testing is scheduled for May 3 -14.
