April 11, 2012 —
The East Carter Middle School baseball team impressed during its week of spring break, finishing first in last week’s baseball tournament at Raceland.
Match-ups against Raceland, Fairview, Russell and cross-county rival West Carter rounded out the week on the diamond for ECMS’s boys.
A noteworthy performance on the mound by young Raider Jordan Walburn made for a reason to celebrate, picking up a no hitter on 66 pitches thrown in the game.
