William H. (Bill) Fouch
1930 – 2010
MOREHEAD – William H. (Bill) Fouch, 79, of Christy Creek Road, Morehead, Ky, passed away April 27, at Ridgeway Nursing and Rehab in Owingsville, Ky.
He was born Dec.14, 1930, in Rowan County, Ky, and was the son of the late Burl and Mildred Merle Moore Fouch.
Bill is survived by his wife of 44 years, Garnetta Smith Fouch, whom he married Sept, 5, 1965; two sons, Billy Bruce Fouch and wife Kelly and Scott Fouch, two daughters, Lori Wells and Lisa McIntosh, all of Morehead, Ky, and eight grandchildren, Kyle, Kellen, Patrick, Lilee, Callie, Parker, Cody, and Carsyn.
Also surviving is one brother, Tommy Fouch and wife Joan of Morehead, two nieces and one nephew, Denise Spencer, Brian Fouch, and Julie Mays; several great nieces and nephews; and his loving mother-in-law, Beulah Smith of Morehead, Ky.
Bill served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 –1954. He retired in 1993 as foreman from Addington Coal Company in Ashland, Ky, after fifteen years of service. Following his retirement, he was a heavy equipment operator and truck driver. Bill was a member of Elliottville Baptist Church.
Funeral services were conducted April 30, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Tim Rhodes officiating.
Entombment followed in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with full military rites conducted by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126.
Pallbearers were Kellen Fouch, Patrick Fouch, Tim Harris, Scott Neal, Brian Fouch, Michael Neal, and Johnny Ray Kissinger.

ASHLAND – Justin Shane Perry, 28, of Ashland, son of Danny and Joyce Berry Perry, passed away April 27, at his home.
Graveside Services were held April 30, at Rose Hill Burial Park.

ASHLAND – Morgan Gene “Pappy” Daniels, 84, of Ashland, passed away April 26, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
Graveside Services were held April 30, at Kirby Flats Cemetery.
Lewis “Burr” Heaberlin
1927 – 2010
GRAYSON – Lewis “Burr” Heaberlin, 82 of Grayson, died April 27, at the Boyd Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ashland.
He was born Sept. 12, 1927 in Carter County Ky, the son of the late Lewis and Lula Belle Dowler Heaberlin.
He was a disabled United States Army veteran, a self-employed electrican, and of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Kitchen Heaberlin, five brothers, and two sisters.
He is survived by a son, Ricky Heaberlin of Grayson, a daughter Donna (Richard) Claxon also of Grayson, four grandchildren, Miranda, Courtney, Brandon, and Kerrick.
Funeral services were conducted April 30, at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson Delmar Rogers, minister.
Burial was in the Heaberlin cemetery near Grayson.

Pamela Gay "Pam" Waddell

OLIVE HILL – Pamela Gay "Pam" Waddell, 50, of Goodan Creek Road, Olive Hill, passed away April 28, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Ashland, Ohio.
"Pam" was born, Dec. 15, 1959, in Rowan County, a daughter of the late Charles Robert "Robbie" and Mary Magdalene "Madge" Price Waddell.
"Pam" was a Christian of the Church of God faith a homemaker, a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother; Charles Allen Waddell; two nephews; Anthony Jones and Brian Waddell. Paternal grandparents; Robert and Hattie Whisman Waddell; Maternal grandparents; Clifford and Audrey Salyers Price.
Survivors include her daughter; Britani Stoudt of Olive Hill, four brothers and sisters-in-law; Donnie and Jackie Waddell, Danny and Debbie Waddell all of Olive Hill, Phillip Waddell of Aberdeen, Ohio; Ronnie and Vicky Waddell of Harrisburg, North Carolina; one sister and brother-in-law; Judy and David Bowling of Morehead.
She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, Cousins and other family members and friends who will sadly mourn her passing.
Funeral services were held May 2, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Brother Louie Harris, Brother Austin Carter and Brother Gayle Price officiating.
Burial followed in the Bradley Cemetery on Dry Branch Road in Olive Hill, Ky.
Brady Evans, Bob Purnell, Charlie Pigg, Davey Bowling, Jacob Waddell, Woody Baker, Billy Stephenson and James Conn served as pallbearers.
Lindsay Jones, Halee Erwin, Evan Hollingsworth, Aiden Johnson, Chloe Russell, Kayleigh Rayburn, Kassidy Rayburn and Ryker Burchett served as Honorary Pallbearers.

Kenneth Fannin
1919 – 2010
CAMP DIX – Kenneth Fannin, 90, of Camp Dix, Ky, went home to be with the Lord April 30, at the Golden Living Nursing Center in Vanceburg, Ky.
He was born at Thor in Lewis County, Nov. 30, 1919, a son of the late Watt Anderson and Sophia Bloomfield Fannin, He was the fourth of eight children.
Throughout his lifetime he experienced many historical events including the Depression and War World II. In 1941 he was drafted into the United States Army where he earned twenty-one dollars a month. While on a furlough, he married Goldie Weaver Goodwin to whom he was married for sixty five years. His role in the Army was Sergeant of the Motor Pool in the Medical Corps at Shepard’s Field, Texas. He drove an ambulance from the landing strip in Shepard’s Field transporting wounded Soldiers returning from War to the regional hospital on the base. The most memorable event during his tour was of a personal nature when he was called to his own home to transport his wife to the hospital to give birth to their first child, K.W. "Cork" Fannin.
In November 1945 Kenneth returned home, working at different jobs in Ohio and Kentucky before he settled down to farming and working in a steel mill for several years. In 1966 he went to work for the Kentucky Department of Highways as a heavy equipment operator. He retired in 1982 and enjoyed full time farming on his farm on Stone Branch Road. He and Goldie lived in their home on Stone Branch Road where they raised their family for a total of sixty years.
In 2001 they sold the home place a bought a retirement home on Red Oak Lane in Camp Dix where Kenneth continued enjoying raising a big garden to share with family and friends. The highlight of his life was his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. During Kenneth’s lifetime he has touched many lives with his kindness. He has been a strong influence on his family and friends by setting the example of hard work, integrity, honesty and compassion for his fellow man. He was a member of Scotts Branch Church of Christ, a Kentucky Colonel, a Master Conservationist and a Veteran of the United States Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of sixty five years; Goldie Weaver Godwin Fannin whom he married September 7, 1942, a daughter Judy Kaye Jordan, one gradson; Jonathan Kent Thornsberry, four brothers, Theodore Fannin, Odis Fannin, Otis Fannin and Clinton Fannin, three sisters, Dorothy Fullerton, Nettie Maggie and Maryetta Osborne.
He is Survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Kenneth Wayne and Sue Fannin of Camp Dix, Ky, two daughter and sons-in-law; Jeanne and Maurice Reeder of Camp Dix, Kentucky; Mary and Rick Thornsberry of Williamsburg, Ky, one son-in-law; Kermit Jordan of Vanceburg, Ky, fifteen grandchildren; Darrell Fannin, Janie Zornes, Billy Fannin, Tiffany Fannin, Justin Barrett, Joshua Barrett, Michelle Carroll, Chris Jordan, Greta Douthat, Randy Reeder, Natalie Elam, Derrick Reeder, Jeremy Thornsberry, Adam Thornsberry and Maggie Todd; nineteen great grandchildren and four great - great grandchildren;
Funeral services were held May 3, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Camp Dix, Ky, with Brother John Lewis officiating. Burial followed in the Morgan Cemetery in Lewis County, Ky. His devoted grandsons served as pallbearers.

Delmer Glennis Kidd
1934 – 2010
WEST LIBERTY – Delmer Glennis Kidd, 75, of Highway 711, West Liberty, Ky, passed away , April 30, at the Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia.
Born May 9, 1934 in Rowan County, Ky, he was the son of the late Allie and Myrtle Wagnor Kidd. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Willowden Kidd Easterling and two brothers, Dennis Kidd and Cecil Kidd.
Glennis is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Jo Cassity Kidd, whom he married Dec, 24, 1953; one son, Dana Kidd and wife Phyllis of West Liberty, Ky, two daughters, Devra Kidd and husband Paul of West Liberty, Ky, and Marla Smith and husband Mandel of Grayson, Ky, 8 grandchildren, Brad and Michelle Kidd, Brent and Jenn Kidd, Glenna Martin and John Blankenship, Kelli Kidd, Brian Kidd, Weston Kidd, JoEllen Martin, and Sara Martin; and two great grandchildren, Jackson Kidd and Brody Kidd.
Also surviving is one sister, Delois Trent and husband Odice of Morehead, Ky, and two sisters-in-law, Marie Kidd of Dayton, Ohio, and Geneva Kidd of West Liberty, Ky.
Glennis was a farmer and former school bus driver for the Morgan County Board of Education in West Liberty, Ky. He was a member of the Blairs Mill Church of Christ.
Funeral services were conducted May 2, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel, with Elder Jimmy Adkins and Elder Tommy Steele officiating.
Burial followed in Cassity Cemetery in Blairs Mill, Ky.
Pallbearers were Brad Kidd, Brent Kidd, Brian Kidd, Weston Kidd, Larry Easterling, and Dale Perry.

William T. “Bill” Wilburn
1911 – 2010
HITCHINS – William T. “Bill” Wilburn, 98, of Hitchins, Ky, went to be home with his Lord on May 3, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.
He was born July 10, 1911 at Carter County, Ky, a son of the late Charlie and Lizzie Stevens Wilburn.
Bill was a minister for 68 years. He served as Pastor of the Rush Community Holiness Church for 30 years and was also a former pastor of the Grahn Nazarene Church and the Willard Wesleyan Church.
He was a coal miner, farmer, saw mill operator, a carpenter, blacksmith and worked construction.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Moore Wilburn in 1999, two brothers, George and Bob Wilburn, five sisters, Ida Dinkins, Ethel Lucas, Mary Dinkins, Florence Dinkins and Gertrude Wilburn. His survivors include: three sons, Waldo and wife Carol Wilburn of Grayson, Ky,, Joe and wife Glenna Wilburn of Grayson and Larry “Moe” Wilburn of Argillite, Ky, three daughters, Naomi Cantrell of Grayson; Rosemary and husband Denver Prater of Cannonsburg, Ky, and Beverly Marshall of Hitchins, Ky, one sister, Goldie Freize of Grayson;
Seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted May 6, at 1 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Steve Keyes and Delmar Rogers, officiating.
Burial will be in the Bates Cemetery in Rush, Ky. Visitation will be held Wed evening, May 5 from 5 - 9 p.m. and Thursday after 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Robert "Bob" Knipp
1926 – 2010
OLIVE HILL – Robert "Bob" Knipp, 83, passed away May 1, at his home surrounded by family and friends. He was born Nov 9, 1926, in Olive Hill, Ky, to Willard Carr Knipp and Lula Easterling Knipp.
Bob served in the Army during World War II as a radio operator and also as a guard to German prisoners of war. After concluding his military service, Bob returned to his hometown where he owned and operated Knipp's Cab Company, the first cab company in Olive Hill. Bob also worked at General Refractories Brick Yard. Mainly everyone knew Bob as a plumber and electrician until retirement.
Bob was a member of the American Legion and attended the Nazarene Church. He also had a long history of service to Carter County, serving as magistrate for District Five for 17 years. He always had a passion for Bluegrass music. He played the fiddle and in earlier years belonged to a group, which recorded several records. In later years he loved working on the family farm raising cattle and operating the tractor.
Bob was married to Joyce Evelyn Jessie Knipp for 43 years until her passing in 1995.
He is survived by his daughters Jerri Lynn Schlenker, husband Chris of Olive Hill, and Robin Hartman, husband Dale of Sandy Hook, Ky, and grandchildren Julia Megen Hoenk of Raleigh, N.C. and Marshall Ryan Hartman of Sandy Hook, Ky, one brother and sister in-law, Gene and Grace Knipp of Olive Hill, Ky.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Evelyn Jessie Knipp, four brothers, Earl Knipp, Chester Knipp, Wylie Knipp and Lloyd Knipp, and two sisters, Ruby Williams and Faye Shumate.
Funeral services were held May 4, at the Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Ky, with Brother officiating.
Burial followed in the Knipp Cemetery in Olive Hill, Ky.
Roger Knipp, Dickie Stallard, Bobby Knipp, Billy Knipp, David Knipp and Junior Hignite served as pallbearers. Ray Stamper, Earl Gilliam, Jim Callihan, Gary Knipp and Homer Lewis served as Honorary Pallbearers.
