5/31/12 — Daisy M. Stephens Stinnett, 70, of Grayson went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Kings Daughter Medical Center in Ashland. She was born December 20, 1941, at Grayson, a daughter of the late John Edgar and Lina Barker Stephens.
She was a homemaker, co-owner of Stinnett’s Meat Processing, was active with Grayson Meals on Wheels and the Carter County Produce Market. Daisy was a member of the Smith Branch Regular Enterprise Baptist Church where she was also a Sunday School Teacher.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Warner Edward Stephens, Marcle Dave Stephens, Joseph John Stephens and twin brother and sister, Dennis Ray Stephens and Janice Fay Stephens.
Her survivors include her husband, Billy Stinnett of Grayson; one son, Marcel Wayne (Debbie Jane) Stinnett of Grayson; one daughter, Beverly Davis of Grayson; one brother, Richard Wayne (Louise) Stephens of Grayson; granddaughters, Courtney Yates and Richelle Meade;
great-granddaughter, Summer Meade; and many friends who she considered brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 8, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Elder Leo Ison and Elder Tim Porter officiating. Burial will be in the East Carter County Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held Thursday evening, June 7, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday after 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
