5/31/12 — James Franklin “Wobbles” Carter, 37, of Grayson, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at Ashland Community Hospice Center.
James was born Oct. 30, 1974, the son of James Carter and Faye Gollihue Castle.
He attended Ashland Vocational School. He was a welder and worked for Mansbach Metals. James was of Pentecostal faith.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Raymond and Ruby Gollihue and his paternal grandparents, Edward and Helen Carter.
In addition to his parents, James is survived by his stepmother, Rewanna Hicks Carter, and stepfather, Dorman Castle; two sisters, Kelly (Robbie) Wolfe of Grayson and Shannon (Danny) Slaughter of Rush; two stepsisters, Christie Sagraves of Grayson and Tara McKenzie of Arlington, Va.; two nephews Blake and Cody Logan of Grayson; also family pet, his best buddy, Cricket.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson with Ronald Knox officiating. Burial followed in East Carter County Memory Gardens.
