02/19/13 — Mrs. Janice Marie Eden Logan, 76, of Olive Hill, passed away Tuesday morning, Feb. 19, 2013, in the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
She was born Nov. 17, 1936, in Carter County, a daughter of the late John and Louada Sparkman Eden.
Janice was a member of the First Baptist Church of Olive Hill and was a homemaker. She loved writing poetry and song lyrics and enjoyed helping her husband in the garden.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Leonard Logan III; three brothers, Roger Eden, Lowell Eden and Emeral Eden; and three sisters, Dorothy Young, Evelyn Rose and Virginia Baker.
Janice is survived by her husband of 58 years, Leonard Logan Jr.; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Sheila Logan of Yorktown, Va., and Joe and Leisha Logan of Grayson; a granddaughter who lived with her and was like a daughter to her, Chelsea Logan of Olive Hill; three other grandchildren, Shawn (Robin) Logan, Corey Logan and Becky Logan; one great grandson, Keaton Matthew Logan; three brothers, Don Eden of Olive Hill, Loyd Eden of Louisiana and Fred Eden of California; and a special niece, Debbie Baker Harman of Olive Hill. She also leaves many other family members, neighbors, and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at Oney-Henderson Funeral Home in Olive Hill with Brother Mike Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in the Olive Hill Memorial Park.
Friends may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, and until the service hour Saturday at Oney-Henderson Funeral Home, 145 Gearhart Street, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
