04-19-12 — Homer Lewis, 76, of Grayson, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012, in Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
He was born July 2, 1936, a son of the late Martin and Beatrice Smith Lewis.
Homer attended Wilson Creek Missionary Baptist Church and was Carter County Road Foreman for 34 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward Lewis and Martin Lewis Jr., and two sisters Kathleen Mullins and Chloanna Lewis.
He is survived by his wife, Garnet Davis Lewis of Grayson; one son, Douglas (Nancy) Lewis of Ashland; one daughter, Teresa (Robert) Kiskaden of Richmond; four sisters, Ruth Stamper of Carter City, Betty Frazier of Boyd County, Mary Zornes of Dayton, Ohio, and Juanita Frazier of Raceland; three grandsons, Tyler, Travis and Jake Lewis; one great granddaughter, Tegan Lewis; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 10, at 11 a.m. at Sparks Funeral Home with Joed Rice officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, December 9 at the funeral home.
