Kenneth Dick Maddix

Feb. 13, 2012 — Mr. Kenneth "Dick" Maddix, 80, of Olive Hill, passed away Friday morning, February 10, 2012, at his residence.

He was born May 7, 1931, in Carter County, a son of the late Roscoe and Eva Tackett Maddix.

Dick attended the Pleasant Valley Gospel Tabernacle and was retired from A. O. Smith. He was a lifelong horse trader.

Dick is survived by his wife of 57 years, Louise Green Maddix; one daughter, Marcella Blevins of Olive Hill; one granddaughter, Hope Blevins and her husband, Brandon Ferguson I, of West Liberty; one grandson, Michael Joe Butler of Olive Hill; two great grandsons, Brandon Ferguson II and Waylon Kole Ferguson, both of West Liberty; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Loretta Maddix of Olive Hill and Roy and Carol Maddix of Mechanicstown, Ohio and three sisters and a brother-in-law, Elaine Fisher of Grayson, Juanita Burton of Morrow, Ohio and Pauline and George Lowe of Olive Hill. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Brother Paul Zornes officiating. Burial will follow in the Olive Hill Memorial Park in Olive Hill.

Friends visited from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2012, and until the service hour on Wednesday at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
