01/09/13 — James R. McDowell, 72, of Grayson, passed away Jan. 3, 2013, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.  

He was born June 9, 1940. 

He is survived by his wife, Ottie Prichard McDowell.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson with Larry McDavid officiating.  Burial will follow at Ison Cemetery.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
